Water is transformative, gives and takes life, moves mountains, and gives all living things consciousness. I have always been fascinated by it. Mesmerized in all it’s transformative forms. It lives in my dreams, in my blood and my family's history.  A history of mountain climbers, swimmers and sailors through 4 generations, in the Pacific Northwest..  

When I was younger my mother enrolled me in the Seattle Public Aquarium's summer art program. I loved going each summer to draw and paint, fish and undersea life in the aquarium. We also got to access it after hours, and I never wanted to leave at the end of the day. I felt a deep connection to all the amazing creatures, water and underwater life. A truly profound experience for me in my youth.
